This months lunch the men really loved.. I made my nephew's Chili Cheese Tico Tots and Cherry Limeaide Cupcake.. It was soooo yummy... but what blew me away was the lady's meeting shortly following the lunch.. Ms. Kelly brought the cutiest little bird stuff and the yummiest Strawberry cupcakes.. My lunch is the first pics and hers are the last half.. Enjoy!!

I was doing my normal routine and checking all my favorite sites.. The first one I come to is obviously http://www.thepioneerwoman.com/.. I always start my day with her.. I know I will either laugh, or go AWWWW, or find something yummy to try.. She has taught me alot about cooking, taking pics, and how to keep a better outlook on things.. I can't wait for her book signing out here in Seattle next week!!
Well yesturday, she was showing something cool she bought.. I to love office supplies!! (I love the first day of school supplies too but we will get into that later).. Guess she bought these at a store but showed a site about them at http://www.knockknock.com/..
I LOVE everything they have!!! But as you all know, I am poor.. Beyond low icome.. You could say I am one foot from living in the woods.. (Where I would love to be!!).. So anyway back to the cool office supplies.. I am always trying to come up with new things to make my life a little easier.. Ok.. I have an obsecion with cleaning and organizing and LISTS!! (Thanks Mom!!).. So I've been trying to come up with a way to cook all the wonderful recipes on Tasty Kitchen (PW's site).. And if you know me Food and I have some issues.. I never know what to make so I don't.. (my body is in starvation mode most of the time).. And just Taylor and I here is challenging enough.. (I need a man to cook for :( ) I do have the guys at Church on Saturdays, but they only allow me to cook once a month..
Ok enough of my ramblings back to what I was saying... Ok so I have a huge binder full of wonderful foods to try and the 200 page Family cookbook.. How to choose what to make was a challenge.. So I made a list of everything and cut each one into strips.. So right before the 6th of each month I can but the strips (organizent groups of dinners, sides/breads, desserts, & breakfasts) into a bowl and choose a dinner and side for everyday and a few breakfasts and desserts for the month..
Well before James left I tried something like this by printing a calender. We wrote what we would have, but the calender was to small and hard for me to read.. So this site (knock knock) had a chart that would work great fot this problem!! The only thing was I couldn't afford to buy it so I created something simialer.. It took the better half of the day and I couldn't print it (no ink yet), but mine looks better and should work.. I may come up with more of the Knock Knock stuff myself too.. For example the Grocery chart they have I've already done.. It worked but got to cumbersome to take to the store. So I made a list of what we get all the time and print it on a little 3x5 index card and add what extra stuff on the back.. Works great!! I also print up a list of household stuff and my bills on a separate card for the 1st. Since my cash and FS come at different times.. So much easier to keep track of.

I've been busy this week.. I finally made the cupcakes and cookies for my dad and St. Patty's day.. LOL I know a little late but I didn't want to make them if I didn't have the money to send them.. So here they are.. Ohhh and the angel cookie.. (Shalene) I made the cookie from scratch and the cookie cutter also!! Hope you like!!

Well, yesturday I cooked for the men at church.. ok.. mostly the pastor and his boys.. But men anyway.. I made Mom's (Rachel's) Chicken Puff Pie and Twix Cupcakes.. The men LOVED both.. I bearly had any leftovers.. (what was left I ate the rest except the cupcakes).. LOL.. Anyway here are the beautiful pics I took of the yummy food..

We have the sweetest church!!! Not only do they love my cooking and my child.. They are also understanding and helpful with out me even asking.. For example.. One of the teenage boys (Jimmy) noticed last night at church that Taylor had holes in his shoes.. I was planing on getting him new shoes next week but now I don't have to... Jimmy came to me after service today and asked if he could take Taylor and go by him some shoes!!! I almost started to cry!! That was the sweetest thing in the whole world.. When he brought Taylor back he had gotten new shoes, some Hotwheels and a bottle of soda.. Wow.. Jimmy sure likes Taylor.. As I was talking to Jimmy, he was telling me all the fun things church does within a year.. So the couple who brought us home last night and now Jimmy have invited us camping this summer..YEAH!! And was mentioning how fun camp is this year with lots of families.. To raise money they have car washes.. I may do a bake sale.. But on that we will see... So I really love my new church.. Valley Baptist Church in Algona WA!!

Last night was our International Dinner at Church!!! It was so much fun.. Lots and lots of food from many different countries.. Everyone loved everything.. I wish I would have gotten some pictures of all of it but didn't think about it until just now.. (oh well).. I will get some next year..
So talking to Mrs. Wilder.. they have this dinner every year during the Missionaries Confrence.. I can't wait until next year.. I have plans for food next year too.. Thank you Family (Marcel and Jennifer mainly) for being in another country to provide the unusual dishes I can prepare.. The first one I was bringing was Saucijzenbroodjes (have no clue how to say it) but I was upset because in the recipe Marcel says to use Filo pastery.. But I bought PUFF pastery.. Ugh!!! So failed that one.. LOL...
The next one was the Kroketten.. That smelled so good.. The first batch I made (about a week ago) I put the egg white in the meat instead of the egg yoke.. oh well.. garbage it went.. Then yesturday I made 2 batches of it.. Worked good.. Ok. we lost a few cause they stuck to the frier rack.. or my helper (Taylor) dropped one on the floor or when he pulled them out of the fryer they split.. and the middle was cold.. So next time I will make them into meatball size or flat like a hamburger.. But Oh Man!! They were Yummy!!! Everyone loved them!!!!
But to make up for the other failure.. I made some Snickerdoodle Cupcakes!!! Wow they were so good.. I made 2 dozen and they are all gone but 4.. Everyone loved them the most and can't wait for my next cooking adventure.. LOL Which will be on the 6th for the men working on the church!!
I am going to make Rachel's Chicken Puff Pie and Twix cupcakes.. Pics will be included..

Got a beautiful pic from my mother.. Everyone in Kansas wants winter to go away! I laugh because we haven't gotten snow yet.. I don't miss it.. It's been such beautiful days lately.. Yesturday while cleaning we had the door open.. Was cool but not to cold... Today very bright and sunny.. But I am getting ready to make something yummy.. What should it be??? Peanut butter cookies or more cupcakes??? Ummmm.. Maybe even some biscuts or rolls.. who knows.. LOL

Yes our true loves are Rats.. But since they are gone.. We had to get some new babies.. First we got the sweet Bunny.. Midnight.. Isn't he a doll???

Then shortly after we moved we got Chrissy's Baby girl Saphira..

A Special Surprise

When I went to check my mail today, I got a special gift... I knew my friend was sending me something from San Fran but not sure what it was.. I've told him of many things that I've needed or wanted but never for sure if he will get me anything or not..

So when I opened the small mail box I had a package.. Ummmm.. What could it be... I thought... When I got back to the house I opened it..

Again still wondering what it could be.. Since it came in a nice little brown bag from http://www.bakeitpretty.com/ one of my favorite sites now..

When I opened it... Wow did I get a shock!!! I love them.. Aren't they the cutiest!!! My new sweet Cupcake liners in the most wonderful colors!!! The top one (black and white non-plaid) is my all time Favorite!!!

I had a good day.. Playing games and eating at church.. There was lots of good food!!! Everyone loved my Pink Gloop!! Ummm Can never go wrong with that.. and they LOVED my Chocolate Cherry cupcakes.. My cookies were ok.. They didn't turn out to well.. Especially the one on here.. LOL Can you guess why?? LOL..
But I did get some beautiful flowers from a friend.. I hate being alone.. :(.. But I had Taylor.. Chrissy wouldn't even come home..
But it was nice getting to know the new people at Church.. Lots of fun and games.. Here is the pic of my cookie and flowers..

Oh Man!!! Thank you http://www.allthingscupcakes.com/.. I tried these cupcakes today!!! Ok.. Mine are as perfect.. I do have nerve damage in my right arm and shake alot.. but they still taste very yummy.. I'm a cherryholic and chocolate lover... So these fit me to a tee!! Great Valentines day treat.. I made them for Church tomorrow.. Praying that they love them as much as I do.. I may not have enough.. But oh well.. More for next year!!!

Ok.. I've been pretty busy today.. Trying out a few recipe's I've found or got out of the Family Cookbook..
So far I have tested and approved 1.. Chicken and Dumplin's added to the Tasty Kitchen on Jan. 29, 2010.. (my Mom's Birthday).. by theparsleytheif (who knows just givin them credit for adding it)..

I did make a few changes because I can't afford a whole chicken when I am just cooking for Taylor and I.. But it was the yummiest!!! Made my house smell so good.. So here it is my way!!! Check it out from Tasty Kitchen or let me know if you want the recipe my version..

But, I do.. I am sittin here crying.. I hate being mad/frustrated with Taylor.. He whines and cries at every little thing.. He thinks he doesn't know something when he really does.. He acts like he can't see large pieces of paper scattered on the floor.. But he aggrivates me so much.. I have to yell at him all the time to do school work or chores.. Then he has excuses.. or back talks me.. I hate that.. Why does he have to be 10?? How do I stop this?? PLEASE HELP oh loving Lord!!!

I am so glad January is over.. Shweew... I almost didn't make it.. LOL.. Yes, I really don't like February either but so far so good this year.. I started attending a new church last month.. It's good.. On Valentines day they are having a potluck.. I am bringing Pink Gloop (ok.. Marky Salad) and my Heart cookies.. Can't wait.. There is also a program of Homeschoolers that Taylor is going to sing in.. LOL.. He will be singing Trust and Obey!! So beautiful.. I will video tape it..

My health is getting better.. I actually broke down and bought some BLEACH!!! Ugh!!! But had to get the cat poo off the kitchen floor some how and the vinager just wasn't cuttin' it..

I am not looking forward to the 12th or Valentines day.. The 12th everyone should remember what happened last year.. My eye still hurts.. and Valentines day.. I am alone and not expecting to get much but already got the kids each a little something.. LOL...

So hoping this month goes alot smoother then last.. Besides Taylor puking all over the hallway carpet, but the new pastor (Pastor Wilder) and his wife let me borrow there carpet shampooer that worked nicely.. So far so good!!!

I am so proud of my baby boy!!! He loves.. I mean LOVES pancakes!!! But I can't make them worth the life of me.. I get them nice and brown on one side then flip and the batter goes everywhere then they burn or stick to the pan.. LOL... Fun to watch, but not to clean..

So Taylor has been buggin for Pancakes for a long time.. He got off his butt and made his own.. Boy was I blown away... Ok he used a mix but he made them all by himself.. And they are PERFECT!!! Nice and brown on both sides.. Thick but not battered in the middle.. (I don't like pancakes very much and can't taste right now) but I bet they are very good.. He even went so far as to create his own batter by adding Peanut butter!!!

He did a wonderful job.. Look for yourself..

Allergies.. I hate them.. Especially when it is my nose.. I am all stuffy.. Nothing works.. I can't breath, taste or smell.. Have a really bad headache.. Nose is just pouring.. I've cleaned it out.. I've taken meds.. But nothing works..
Hopefully when I see the dr on Monday she will get it scheduled for Allergy testing.. This is driving me nuts.. I want to know what I am allergic too to avoid all this mess..

Ok.. I've been feeling like crude the last week.. I went to the ER because I was having tummy pain and extra bleeding.. They checked me for lots of things but found out I had Dysfunctional Uterine Bleeding.. (in non college language.. I am bleeding and not on my normal cycle).. They also found I had a Urinary Tract Infection..
So the next day I went and got my meds for the UTI.. Since then my nose has been pouring, numbness in my face and hands, major headache, groggy, slurring, can't think and very irritable.. Called the Nurse.. I was having an allergic reaction to the meds.. Dr sent out another perscription for today.. I will see the Dr on Monday..
I am kinda worried though.. Since I am in school to become a Medical Transcriptionist I have a medical book.. This last week I am studing the female anatomy.. (Coincedence?? I think not).. LOL...
Well, I looked up my symptoms.:

Unusual Bleeding between cycles
Rapid weight gain
Tender Breasts
tender tummy
Back pain
headache

These were the things that came up in my book..
Endometriosis- Don't have that.. Dr checked that no "chocolate cysts"..
hydatidiform mole- small, fluid form sacs but no embro.. Ummm??? Could be??
Leiomyoma- there is a pic of this.. Scary.. Can be the size of a soccerball.. I have all the syptoms..

So I am kinda nervous... the last one I would need a hysterectomy.. But the first thing is they need to see if I will be ok if they put me on Birth control.. I am still trying to figure out if they will remove the clips on my tubes the problems will go away?? We will see.. I go to see Dr on Monday (Feb 1)..

New Family Project

We have a new family project.. to take pictures of things and write about it.. I love this project because I love to write... My first entry was a story about Chrissy and her love of animals and camping.. Today I just sent one in about my beautiful art.. I wish I could live in it.. I would love to be out in the middle of no where.. bothered by no one.. Ahhhhhh... Life on a lonely farm.. That would be the life..

To make my weekend go pretty good.. I got the most wonderful book in the whole world.. Full of tasty looking food and wonderful memories.. I so love and miss my family.. They mean the world to me.. after reading this from cover to cover and all the tears I shed doesn't help the fact that I've been gone for almost 10 years.. Seems like a life time..

But I am going to try and recreate almost every morsal in this book.. and post the pics of what I've created.. Can't wait to try Marcel's Eel!!! Yummy!!!

This week has been the most stressful, hurtful week of the year.. Sunday had to tell James he wasn't allowed to be here anymore.. Monday had group and made arrangements for my next 2 groups.. Got home then called cops on Colton because he was bad mouthing me and calling me a horrible mother and wouldn't leave my house.. then I went to jail.. Tuesday got out of jail and had to call the cops on Colton again.. Wednesday Taylor came home from pastor's but it took forever.. Thursday no one picked us up for church but Chrissy decided she wanted to live with Colton so she left and not coming back... Today she needs to go to the doctor but will she show up for the appointment??

Wow!!! Found a recipe on PW's web site called Mushroom Bundles.. I did try making them.. But I noticed I bought the shells not the sheets.. Thought all was lost.. But!!!!! Oh man are they yummy!!!!! The recipe said to use wine.. Well I don't buy wine so I used Chicken stock.. It also said to use parmesan cheese.. But I used shredded Italian..

So either way these are the tastiest mushroom cups I've ever eatten..

Yesturday was a fun filled day.. My washing machine decided to not work anymore.. I called my wonderful pastor.. He got me another one for $75.. Now you all know that I don't have a car.. So I got up and walked to the store to get my money.. Walked back and called Brian to let him know I had the money.. Shortly there after, Brian and Mark showed up to look at the piece of crap I was using.. They took my money and left.. A few hours later they returned to remove the old, falling apart machine and replace it with a slightly new one..
Well, if the day couldn't get any funnier.. They didn't bring a dolly.. So Taylor and I got to watch sweet little Brian "walk" the old washer out of the house.. It was funny because the last time the washer was "fixed" someone took all the screws out and didn't replace them.. So picture Brian trying to "walk" this thing out.. It was falling apart as it was moving.. But he finally got it (very loudly) out to the storage area..
Now mind you, they forgot the dolly.. So they ended up CARRYING the new slightly smaller, machine into the house and set it all up for me.. It works a whole lot better..
So I want to thank, Pastor for finding it for me, and Brian & Mark for all their hard work in moving both for me... Lots of love for all of you..

So it's the begining of a whole new year.. What could I change?? I've been thinking of many things... I need to work on a better relationship with God, Taylor and my church family.. This year I hope to be finishing up school so I can get a good job.. I would like to beable to go back to Kansas to see my family (10 years almost has been a little too long..)
I am going to make some major changes that will be new for me.. So keep me in your prayers and wish me luck.. This year can only get better than the last!!
